Well, I wish there was one camera that would do everything, but I guess that might be some years away. I have been without a DSLR for a while after owning a bunch of canons (
Canon XS![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_tOgHd1JLO7amU4RAOV8IfziM-hyLEavyauuZsEsX3AwL8EFPhYeJ8kcnmXqfd3PmFtuE9fRufRKZUcABgtW202IJqpdH8t5vL2Z4X3VWncJZ79U_pWgscWiTdycJuxOyD1JeDsQL3f_Fzo=s0-d)
,
Canon XSi![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_sKWmKVhZi6n6GrFfzffxlgvpbUdyaoygveAX8mWKxl6DvWCs4gCsNp6BzFdYxWaEUlCrDIrjcKi_Ma2J3VFf-VKHBgOjGrdskPw2k5h8_n9AD1kJTdZQBJZ9r95itk8tIzxLIrpwPdOm_Fyw=s0-d)
, and some older like D30) I really wanted to try a Nikon. Amazon offered the
Nikon D60![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_vFGQj0M8G1gkpmWyBlhhBNDdsTYJgMTylnBMSmw_cIeCjiQlJWfHFQonzTXYfIB-oelLOxTJflPDaFDP2Uh31mN2AMgKy8p6o9yWLl_o0A90LRVUaHCAKofDaPO1FhrazBKdwaV-7_24qzow=s0-d)
for only $399 (refurbished, sold through 3rd party). At that price, which is lower than any of the D60 offered on Craigslist, I had to try. Last Friday I got it and in the weekend I had a chance to try it out. Here are some shots. Those would not look the same taken by a point and shoot. Even if it is good. Enjoy.
