Vegetable brain?

Not quite true, but out on a walk today I stumbled over something that kind of looks like a brain (although I have never really seen one in real life :). The color is not right, but don't you think this looks kind of like it? Maybe this is a real smart plant? Taken with Canon 10D and Sigma 105mm EX lens.
